The American Red Cross plays a major role in Merrimack Valley by teaching and training people to save lives. By offering courses in a wide variety of lifesaving techniques and skill areas, including CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator Training, the Red Cross helps to keep our families and communities safe.

Adult, Infant, Child CPR and First Aid course

April 7th, 11th and 14th, 6 PM to 10 PM
Course taught at Regional Health office, EB-15, Saunders Building, Tewksbury Hospital
$82 for Adult, Child,Infant CPR and First Aid
$70 for Adult, Infant and Child CPR only
$57 for Adult CPR only

From Route 93

Take Route 93 to Exit 42, Dascomb Road
From 93S - take a left off the exit ramp and a right at the lights
From 93N - take a left off the exit ramp and go straight at the lights

Follow approximately 3 miles, go over the railroad tracks
On your left you will pass a sign for Saunders Recreation Area; after this you will see the hospital campus
Take a sharp left at overhead flashing light on to the Service Road (you are now on the hospital grounds)
Proceed to the second stop sign and take a left onto Hospital Drive; the hospital is the tall main building on the right

From Route 495

Take Route 495 to Exit 38, Route 38
Take a left off the exit ramp
Proceed on Route 38 for approximately 3 miles
Take a left at lights onto Chandler Street (just before the new Library on left)
Take first right onto Hospital Drive; the hospital is the tall main building on the right

Directions once you are at the Tewksbury Hospital

Please take a right when you see the sign DO NOT ENTER and go all the way until the end of the building and you park in the parking space there. Enter through the Regional Office Entrance on the side of the main building. There will be security officers directing you to the appropriate location. The local phone number there is 978-851-7261


Attend the 5th annual Merimack Valley AQUATIC JOB FAIR
Where: Greater Lawrence Technical School, 57 River Road, Andover
(Exit 45 off Route 93)
When: Sunday, April 10, 2005 Time: 1-3PM
Why: Find the perfect summer job! Meet with the representatives from the area recreation departments, camps, state pools and beaches, YMCA's, YWCA's, Girl Scouts, condo complexes and many, many more. Private agencies seeking to employ lifeguards and other aquatic professionals like yourself will be on hand with job descriptions and applications to make sure you find the right job for you! Lifeguard Training and Water Safety Instructor course information wil be available as well as materials for WSI update.
